Take a Walk Through History
Learn more about the town of Athabasca and the Athabasca Region by doing the Historical Walking Tour.
Athabasca maintains many of its historical buildings, with some being open to the public. Many of the sites have interpretive signage with photos and context.
Download the PDF Guide for the route map and detailed information about each site.
Dress accordingly for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Athabasca is built on the steep banks of the Athabasca River, so you’ll be climbing some hills. Luckily there are many places for refreshments along the route!
